Duo Plus, my new pipesets
Good morning everyone!
After a few months of owning the Duo Plus (also due to several health problems that forced me to stay at home), I finally finished the three pipesets for the Duo Plus.
As I mentioned before, the three factory pipesets did not satisfy me at all, so I got to work and created three pipesets that I think are nice.
A Baroque, a Modern European, an Anglo/American symphonic.
As like my previous Physis voicings, I repeat that they are not copies of existing organs, but "inspired by".
I worked hard to get acceptable results as the Physis Plus voicing is quite different (in the final results) compared to the Physis.
Now some practical considerations.
In the zip folder, there are the txt files of each pipeset, which are essential to trace the correct voice ID, a folder with additional voices to load, and a .all file (snapeshot) to load into the organ.
First of all, it is essential that the organ has the latest update vers. 1.08 (and obviously editor latest version).
Then, before loading the .all, it is absolutely essential to load the new voices into the respective tabs (not all of them have been used for my pipesets: the additional ones can still be useful in the future).
In some cases, it is essential to copy the voices from one tab to another.
In fact, in the Duo Plus, two tabs of the same family (e.g. Great Octave 4 and Swell Principal 4) have a database of alternative stops with the same name, BUT with different IDs.
This can create a bit of confusion (in Physis 1.0, stops with the same name had at least an alphabetical indexing).
The txt files are used for this very purpose, to identify the correct voice ID, search for it among the various possible tabs (with the editor) and copy it to the required tab if necessary.
In my Duo Plus, I copied all the vcp between the similar tabs of different sections:
Rohrflote 8 <-> Gedackt 8
Viola 8 <-> Gamba 8
Octave 4 <-> Prinzipal 4
Mixtur IV <-> Scharff III
Trompete 8 <-> Trompette Harm.8
Krummhorn <-> Oboe 8
etc.
This way I have a more complete library for future voicings. However, it is a bit of a tedious job; if you don't want to do it, at least make sure you copy any vcp to the correct tab using the txt files I attached.
Only at this point can you load the entire "duo plus.all" snapshot onto the organ.
Be careful, the pipesets also have different parameters for pitch and temperament! Remember this if you use them with other instruments or with the choir!
Best regards

...Ich werde sie sicherlich für meine zukünftige Orgel verwenden können. Mal schauen was es wird...
Da würden sicher ein paar Leute hier gerne mitschauen (=
